Integrated CMS
Problem
The legacy CMS was an isolated and antiquated system that created high levels of friction for the end-user, the performance program authoring team, was not capable of scaling to allow for continued product improvements, and was very costly to maintain.
Hypotheses
If we re-architect the content management system to not only serve as an authoring tool, but also as a database for exercise physiological metadata, and connect that directly with the existing platform APIs, we could create a seamless integrated system. A direct-data feedback loop that would empower the performance programming team in their efforts to correlate program prescriptions to their intended performance outcomes, with real member data. Ultimately allowing our programming team to make data-driven decisions on daily programming protocols and delivering on the company goals of a “science-backed and technology-tracked workout” - lead to greater member perceived value, increased member conversion, frequency and retention.
The NEW CMS
A streamlined user-interface and landing page, with seamless access to pre-populated and dynamic content libraries
An exercise library that supports multiple asset types, text-rec search capabilities, intuitive filter functionality, dynamic metadata entry, permissions enabled, and integrated with the company’s LMS and localization solutions.
The ‘Monthly Calendar’ generates an manageable way to view the months’ workout experiences, creating separate views for each class format, highlighting the author, the specific workout metadata, and completion status team - this reduced the need to use external software to project manage each month’s Fitbook creation process.
The core utility, the ‘Workout Builder’ is built with ‘drag & drop’ capabilities, pulling from all library databases, is integrated with the monthly calendar view, and auto populates program prescriptions based off of pre-identified protocols - dramatically reducing redundant authoring needs.
